I am 15 weeks pregnant today. According to my baby app, Baby Asher is about 4 inches long from crown to rump (the size of an apple). My belly, on the other hand...is a lot bigger than an apple!
And I'm totally okay with it! I feel like I'm growing by the day and I'm just loving it. I had a stranger ask me the other day if I was pregnant. And while I thought it was pretty ballsy of her (you NEVER ask a woman if she's pregnant), I was really excited that YOU CAN TELL.
Physically, I'm still feeling pretty miserable. I threw up 3 times this past week, which is more than usual. So much for the 2nd trimester being the one where you feel better! Perhaps I'll get there soon. I've also had KILLER headaches lately. I'm not sure if this is a pregnancy thing or due to sinuses and/or my neck being out of alignment. I went to the chiropractor yesterday for the first time in months. I was hoping I'd feel like a million bucks afterwards, but not so much. Bummer.
This has been the week for weight gain. I lost a bunch of weight back in December when I was sick with OHSS. As of today, I'm one pound up from what I was on the day of my egg retrieval surgery (before the OHSS set in). Even so, I'm measuring my weight gain based on what I weighed when I found out I was pregnant. I'm going to go ahead and put it all out there.
Pre-IVF weight - 130
Post IVF weight - 132
Post OHSS weight - 127
8 weeks - 127
9 weeks - 127
10 weeks - 128
11 weeks - 129
12 weeks - 129
13 weeks - 129
14 weeks - 130
15 weeks - 133
I'm using 127 as my baseline, so I've gained a total of 6 lbs, 3 of which I gained this past week. I'm not sure whether it's all the snow days (not gonna lie, I enjoyed more than my share of cookies and milkshakes) or if it's all baby! I'm going to go ahead and pretend it's baby...so I don't have to feel bad about it.

We're Pregnant!
Well, Blog World....I'm back! I know I left many of you on the edge of your seat, and I appreciate all your patience in waiting for me to make the special announcement. Well, it's time. We ARE pregnant! I was looking back at my previous posts and it all seems like such a long time ago. The injections, the blood work, the many ultrasounds. I've been injection free since the beginning of January. There's still been plenty of work and lots of ultrasounds, but it's so much more fun with you get to see more than just an empty uterus.
I am 13 weeks and 2 days as of today. I started feeling nauseous around 6 weeks and it hasn't let up yet. And while it sucks to feel sick, it's a daily reminder that there is life inside my body and remembering that makes it more bearable.

13 Week Belly Pic (try to ignore my weird hair)
Current symptoms include: nausea, occasional vomiting, cramping, hypersensitive sense of smell, extreme fatigue, subtle changes in my skin and hair, food cravings (grapefruit, apple turnovers, strawberry shakes) and adversions (the sight of ravioli disgusts me). In the beginning my boobs hurt ALL THE TIME, but that's one symptom that has gotten better. Some symptoms that have more recently surfaced are headaches, light-headedness, and I'm already noticing that I get out of breath a lot easier than I used to.
Currently feeling: Excited and happy that our secret is finally out. I've lied to a lot of people lately....
