With that being said, I want to say that I've been very fortunate to have many great baby showers thrown for me over the past month. This Friday will be my fifth and final shower. I feel so blessed to have such great family and friends who have supported James and me and these three little rascals.
Anyway, I want to dedicate this post to my first baby shower which took place April 13th. My mom had asked me if I was willing to travel for a family shower. I knew people would come to me if I asked them to, but that it would be much more convenient to do it in a more centralized location (plus more people would come). So we agreed to do it at my Aunt Sandy's house in Salina. My future sister-in-law came along with me so I didn't have to make the drive by myself. And despite the fact that we had a 3 hour drive, there wasn't a moment of silence during the trip. I guess that's what happens when you have two preggers riding together in a car. Lots of chatting, snacking, and potty breaks.
We arrived shortly after 1:00 with the shower starting at 2:00, so we had some time to visit with everyone. Once everyone got there, we played some games, opened gifts, and ate cake. The afternoon was wonderful. It was so good to see my family. I hadn't seen any of them since Christmas. This is the part I hate about not having them closer. Hopefully these boys will give them an excuse to come visit us more often!
Here are some pictures from the shower:
