21 Months

21 months....that means they're turning two in 3 months.  When did they get so old???

weights:

Estimates:

Oliver - 27 lbs 3 oz

Nolan - 23 lbs even

Lucas - 22 lbs 3 oz

sizes:

Oliver - 18-24 month clothes, some 2T,  size 5W shoes, size 4 diapers (5 overnight)

Nolan - 12-18 month clothes, size 4.5 shoes, size 3-4 diapers, (4 overnight)

Lucas - 12-18 month clothes, size 4.5 shoes, size 3-4 diapers, (4 overnight)

teeth (no change...though I think we are definitely working on 2 year molars):

Oliver - 16

Nolan - 16

Lucas - 16

eating habits:

Not much has changed.  They are still pretty inconsistent with their eating, but overall I'd say they're just typical toddlers.  They LOVED our Easter Ham!

sleeping habits:

Operation Reintegration was a mass failure.  We've now had several weeks of horrible nights.  We decided to move Nolan back into the guest room.   It was still pretty rough for the first few days, but the last couple nights have been better.  Here's to hoping we're back on track with sleep now!

gross motor:

We got two little indoor slides.  The boys have loved climbing all over them!  Lucas has learned how to climb up onto the couch.  All three boys can walk up and down steps now if they're holding our hand.

fine motor:

Ollie and Nolan are doing better and better with a spoon, while Lucas still has very little desire to even try.  All three boys have mastered the concept of coloring though they still like to try and eat the crayons.

language/communication (new words underlined)

Oliver - waves, claps, gives/blows kisses, points to his head, nose, eyes, mouth, and belly button when asked, signs all done, milkmore, thank you, daddy says mama, dada, hi, hey, uh-oh, auntie, ball, banana, wow, stinky, yeah, three, yea, yellow (14 verbal words)

Nolan - waves, claps, gives/blows kisses, signs all done, milk, ball, eat, thank you, please, daddy says mama, dada (now "daddy"), ball, done, book, baa, uh oh, apple, hot dog, cookie, banana, cheese, cracker, shoes, baseball, baby, nose, diaper, papa, toast, hi, more, milk, lights, "dis" (what's this?), please, belly buttondoor (28 verbal words)

Lucas - waves, claps, gives/blows kisses, signs all done, milk, more, ball, please, thank you, eat & says mama, dada, done, ball, uh oh, apple, banana, cookie, cupcake, cheese, thank you, more, stinky, go, three (15 verbal words...very inconsistent...pretty much doesn't say any of these words anymore)

Nolan has started to pull ahead of the other two boys with his language.  Ollie uses a lot of words of expression (wow, yea, etc).  Lucas just seems to speak his own language.  Whenever we try to have him repeat a word we say, he rattles off something completely different (often an entire sentence of jibberish) or just laughs.  I'm still thinking they might need a speech eval, at least Ollie and Lucas.  I'll bring it up next time my PAT or ITS person is here.

favorite things:

Oliver - LOVEY (Croakers), sleeping, being loud, babies, ball popper, racing cars down the slide

Nolan - push toys, balls, swinging

Lucas - push toys, airplanes in the sky, Pocoyo

special outings/events:

Our biggest outing this past month was the community Easter Egg Hunt at the Lenexa Christian Center.  The boys were on-the-go from the moment we go there, so needless to say, we stayed busy chasing them around.  Ollie loved the concept of hunting eggs and putting them in his Easter basket.  The other two couldn't have cared less.  We also went to Daddy's work for a fish fry and to the mall to visit the Easter Bunny, which they did NOT like.
