I find this really interesting...

I subscribe to my hometown newspaper, The Marion County Record. I like to keep up on what's going on. Marion is such a small town, so I inevitably know someone who was arrested or married or whatever.

Anyway, one of the articles led me to the Marion County website. On the website was a picture of the Marion County Courthouse. James happened to be sitting by me while I was looking at it and asked "Is that the courthouse in Manhattan?" I told him it was not and he insisted it looked just like the Riley County Courthouse. I told him that probably all courthouses look the same and that it wasn't that big of a deal.

Well, I decided to look up the Riley County Courthouse and sure enough...it's almost identical! The similarities are astonishing. I did some historical research and what do you know...both courthouses were built in 1906. Coincidence? I think not. They were clearly designed by the same architect. I don't know why, but I think this is very interesting.
